View of Buda

Buda district, Budapest

A view of the Buda district, Budapest, Hungary. Usually right about here are 1,000 photos of the beautiful Hungarian Parliament Building. This is looking the other way across the Danube river. The white steeple at the top of the photo is Mátyás Templom, or Matthias Church. The pointed towers stretching just below it are known as the Fisherman’s Bastion. The red coloured church at river level is called Budai Református Egyházközség in Hungarian, or the Buda Reform Church in English. Don’t skip this part of Budapest; you must explore Buda. If you only party, puke, and leave, shame on you! Budapest is lovely!
