They’re old, and they’re beautiful, and they’re historical, they’re everywhere, and they’re usually open. You’ll have to be careful as many close for services and some close in the afternoon but if you can time it right you can wander Rome for hours just checking all the lovely art in all the little basilicas, like the one above.
