Waterlilies, 1908, by Claude Monet. One of the paintings from Monet’s exteneded waterlilies series. Begun in 1899, he would work on them for the next 20 years. The paintings were done in his personal garden in Giverny, France. Both local French and imported foreign lilies were uesd in order to take advantage of many different colors.
