A wonky old English house from Stratford-upon-Avon. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome! Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Thankfully, due to it’s association with Shakespeare, there were efforts from very early on to preserve the city and it’s filled with lovely old English buildings including Shakespeare’s birthplace. It’s also home to the Royal Shakespeare Company, which is fantastic. A short list of former actors and actresses here include Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Judy Dench, Jeremy Irons, Kenneth Branaugh, Mia Farrow, and many others. There was a production of Macbeth with Ian McKellen and Judy Dench as the King and Queen. Wow. I’ve seen a couple of the RSC productions at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre here and it’s second to none.
