Picasso etching

This is an etching by Picasso that I believe is from the Vollard Suite of etchings. Specifically, I think this is from an exhibition at the British Museum in 2012, where they put many of the etchings from their copy of the suite on display. The Vollard Suite is a series of about 100 etchings that Picasso did for a French art dealer named Abroise Vollard. They are done in a neoclassical style and contain images and symbols from classical mythology. Most notable of these is the minotaur, seen here, which became a dominant theme in much of Picasso’s later work. Multiple copies of the collection exist and there is extensive documentation on them from various sources. If you’d like to see more images or read more about them, there are many links below.
